Sarnia Park Activities

Sarnia Park Gardens
Walk in the eight acres of gardens which were developed to complement the Georgian style lodge.  They include a man-made lake, an English garden, rose gardens, an Awanui cherry blossom lawn, a croquet lawn and many other features.  The garden was assessed by the New Zealand Garden Trust as a "Garden of Significance" in December 2009.  The 102 year old rimu chapel was relocated from Mamaku in 2005 and is situated on the northern boundary of the 11.2 Ha (29 acres) which make up the entire property.  There is a small plantation of pines on the north/east boundary and Jersey cattle graze the balance of the land.
